After completing her MBBS from Sri Devaraj URS Medial College, Kolar, Dr. Roopa worked with Mallya Hospital, Bangalore, in Cardiac ICU. She worked as casualty doctor at Fortis Nagarbhavi, Bangalore. During the COVID 19 pandemic, she worked at Sagar hospitals DSI, Bangalore in Flu clinic & covid wards. She was assigned responsibility as Vaccination Officer in Jan 2021 for COVID 19 Vaccination Drive at Sagar Hospitals.

She is currently working as PHC Medical Officer in Sagar Hospitals, Banashankari.
